Creating a New Body of Work

One of my goals this year (okay 2021) is to create a new body of artwork.  I have so many new goals and plans for the new year...areas I see that I need to work to improve my skills.

1. Become a better fundamentals of painting and drawing teacher to my students.  I want to create a standardized program of classical training so students can excel.  It is calling me to research more and work harder on my own skill set to be of service to them

2. Become more involved with Heartland Art Club, please check them out, they are awesome!!!

3. Create a new body of work, centralized over a theme and a style.  I want to make a series of 10 oil paintings of children in gardens in pastel colors in the painting style of Bouguereau.  My goals are meant to keep me accountable on being the best I can be for portrait clients and students!

4. Redo website and portfolio to be of better service to portrait clients

5. Submit website and new portfolio to Art Renewal Center.  They are amazing in terms of showcasing classically trained artists

What are your goals for 2021 this year?  Since I have had to move much of my work to online, I am rethinking how to have a stronger online presence.
